THE MAN THAT FEARS GOD

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:

Psalms 51:17

 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

MESSAGE:

If you ever find a man that fears the Lord, one of the very obvious quality you’ll see is BROKENNESS. It is not possible to claim you know God and still be proud, boastful and ostentatious. Brokenness is the Hallmark of the man or woman who fears God.

There are things he can’t say, there is a way he can’t even appear because he knows God hates a proud look, so even his disposition will be managed as one who is under the government of God. When you find people who are full of themselves, proud and ostentatious, it only means they have not met God. They can tell you many lies on how many times they’ve gone to heaven, or how angels and cherubim appear to them or even how they were caught up into the third heavens, it’s a joke. The way you will proof it is to check their lives. The things that God’s presence, only God’s presence occasions will be lacking in their lives. Do you know God? It will be evident through humility, we will see it through reverence, we will see it through brokenness. Even in the natural, how many of you stand with people who are greater than you and you are arrogant, the moment you stand or walk with somebody who is greater than you, your disposition will change. So a man can’t claim he’s walking with God and he’s proud, arrogant and full of himself, No sir, that man doesn’t have a walk with God. When you have a walk with God, you will be broken. Look at the scripture in 

Psalms 51:17

There are many sacrifices in the realms of God but David summarized them and said the Totality of God’s sacrifices is a BROKEN SPIRIT… When you find a man who breaks down in God’s presence, that alone means more to God than a thousand sacrifices and burnt offerings. If your life is not summarized in brokenness, nothing you bring before God will be acceptable because God resist the proud, he doesn’t let the proud approach him. If you approach God and he sees loftiness, he resist you.

1Pet 5:5-6

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God RESISTETH THE PROUD, AND GIVETH GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

It is the humble that receives grace, and one of the essence of Grace is for you to approach God. It is because of Grace that we come boldly to the throne of grace. 

Never forget that you cannot claim to know God and still be Proud, arrogant and ostentatious. The fear of God drives away any and every trace of Lucifer in you.
