What We Stand For
We are grounded in the historic Christian faith as articulated in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We believe in one God, who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that salvation is found through faith in Jesus Christ alone and that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
The Trinity
We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This Triune God is the creator of all things, and His nature is love, holiness, and righteousness.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles. He was crucified, died, and was buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit dwells within believers, empowering and guiding them in their walk with Christ, and bestows spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, consisting of the Old and New Testaments. It is without error in its original manuscripts and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by human efforts or good works. Through Christ’s atoning sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection, those who believe are justified, forgiven, and granted eternal life.
The Church
We believe in the one, holy, universal Church, which is the body of Christ. The Church is made up of all believers who are united by faith in Jesus Christ. The Church’s mission is to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that Christ has commanded.
The Sacraments
We believe in the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion). Baptism is a sign of our union with Christ in His death and resurrection, and a pledge of our cleansing from sin. The Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice, a proclamation of His death, and an anticipation of His return.
The Resurrection and the Second Coming
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead and the life everlasting. At the end of the age, Jesus Christ will return in glory to establish His eternal kingdom. There will be a final judgment, and those who are in Christ will enjoy eternal life, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God.
The Great Commission
We believe that Jesus Christ has commanded His followers to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that He has commanded. We are committed to evangelism, discipleship, and the spiritual growth of believers.
