ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:

“But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27 (NKJV)

MESSAGE:

The Lord himself constrained the disciples to enter the ship and go to the other side. It was not their own initiative, but they obeyed and entered the ship. As soon as their ship got into the midst of the sea, here was the wind shaking them. In the fourth watch of the night Jesus went on to them, walking on water. When the shaking was on, the Lord didn’t leave them to their fate because he does not abandon his own. Once you are standing on the Word, heaven is obligated to ensure you are protected.

It is in the nature of man to abandon you when they feel they’re done with you, a good example is the Egyptian slave in

1sam 30:11-13.

And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water; And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights. And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.

This servant was abandoned by his master because he fell ill. Left in hunger and thirst for three days, but Jesus does not abandon his own. Jesus confirmed in Deut 31:8 {NIV}

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Are you sick and you feel God has abandoned you?  The scripture above is your assurance. Are you bereaved and you feel no one cares? 1pet 5:7 {NLT}

‘’Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.’’ Are you going through some kinds of crisis? whether financial, family or career crisis; I am directed to tell a reader of this devotional today that God has not abandoned you. Stay with his word, stay with prayer, stay with faith and hope and he will come soon. The lord has not forgotten you, No Not at all.

Finally Jesus said in John 14:18 “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

Jesus will come to you in Jesus name.

KEY POINT:

Give God no rest until he sends you an intervention from heaven.
