The Life of Thanksgiving

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 1thess 5:18

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

MESSAGE:

Every Child of God is expected to live a life of Thanksgiving. Thanking God seem easy to preach but difficult to practice. The question many people often ask is; should I still thank God after I’ve lost my Job? God watched while I was humiliated out of that office, God knew that I was innocent in that allegation, he knew I stood for the truth, God knew I never stole or manipulated figures yet he allowed them to sack me, should I still be thankful?

Why should I still be thankful after I saw my mother dying helplessly on the hospital bed despite many prayers and sacrifices, should I still be thankful?

These questions seem genuine and the list is unending, but the reality is that; your questions however genuine does not change the fact that God still remains God. Have you asked yourself who woke you up this morning? It was God brother… Many people count sleeping and waking up normal and casual, No sir, every time you woke up from sleep, it means God visited you and woke you up, it is worth giving him thanks sister.

Can your eyes still see well? Are your legs still functional? Are your hands very ok? How about your mouth, can you still speak well, no impairment, no obstruction, no deficiency etc, then you have more than enough to thank God for. Leaving home in the morning and returning back is a miracle brother, Thank him. Can you still urinate by yourself? can you pass out stool by yourself? Sister, God has blessed you very honestly because there are people paying millions to hospitals to help them pass out urine and feaces, but here you are, passing them out comfortably, please don’t be ungrateful, Give God Thanks.

IF YOU CAN THINK WELL, YOU WILL THANK GOD WELL

think of that terrible accident that almost took your life away, think of how everyone deserted you the other day, but miraculously you surfaced back, more powerful and energetic, sis, remember how God saved you from that toxic relationship trauma, is that not enough to Thank him?

If you can think well you will thank God well.
