WHAT IS MAN?

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:

Psalms 8:4-9

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

MESSAGE: 

What is man is a deep question that is worth studying. David looked at the many privileges that God gave to man, for example; verse 6 of the anchor scripture says God CROWNED him with GLORY and HONOUR. Thou madest him to have DOMINION OVER THE WORKS OF THY HANDS; THOU HAST PUT ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. God has put all things under your feet including sicknessess, dieases, witchcraft attacks, bad dreams and including terrible nightmares. David marveled at all this and asked, What is man? Now are you suffering from any of this wicked acts of the devil? Jesus has put them under your feet. Oh glory to God. Arise and exercise your dominion Oh Man of God, Arise and exercise your dominion Oh daughther of zion. The devil is under your feet. That cancer is under your feet. That paralysis is under your feet, that curse is under your feet, that witchcraft operations in your family is under your feet. You are not suppose to allow the devil see your tears, NO NO NO… Arise and put that devil under your feet in Jesus name.

Why does God value a mere mortal like this? Why is God still interested in man even after many disappointments from man?

Genesis 1:26 

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Psalms 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

The question you should asked yourself today is, with all of these privileges that God provides for me, should my life still be a disappointment to God? Am I working in his will? Is God happy with me?

If the answer to these questions are in the negative, quickly make your way right with God, confess your shortcomings and return back to God. 

We possess the power, the dominion and the crown to rule on earth, but are we truly ruling? Let us return to God and re-acess the dominion God has given to man because HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS UNDER OUR FEET.

God is counting on you, don’t fail him.
