WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR?

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:

2 Timothy  1:3-5

 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

MESSAGE:

Life is in phases… There is a time to Live and also a time to Die, Ecclesiastes 3:1, what will make the difference is what you will be remembered for. Dorcas/ Tabitha lived for humanity Acts 9:36-43, she spend and was spent for widows, orphans and the less privilege, when she died, her works couldn’t allow her spend 24 hours in the great beyond, she was returned back to life. Her works and deeds spoke for her even in her death, Oh wow… It is a reality that Many will be remembered by how many packs of cigarettes they consume per hour, per day or per week, Others will be remembered by their uncontrollable appetite for alcohol and how they messed themselves up along their streets and neighborhood. Sadly too, Others will be remembered by the number of abortions they undertook, how many babies they killed, and how much of the blood of innocent children they hipped or piled on themselves… WHAT ABOUT YOU? Yes You. What will you be remembered for? Will you be remembered as a FOOL like the man in Luke 12:20?
 ”But God said unto him, THOU FOOL, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”   He got massive harvest and turned his back on God.

Dear brother, what will you be remembered for? Will you be remembered for your great sacrifices towards humanity? Services to God and his kingdom or will you be remembered as an opportunist? a cheat? a dupe? a 419ner? Will you be remembered as a man or woman that can not be trusted with the opposite sex? What exactly will you be remembered for?

Paul the Apostle in our Anchor scripture wrote to his beloved son Timothy on how he remembers certain qualities in his life, qualities like his UNFEIGNED FAITH, faith that is unwavering, faith that is steadfast, faith that is anchored on the truth of God’s word… His faith wasn’t in doubt, the devil knew about this unfeigned faith, God knows about it, and his  surrounding neighbors, christian parents and friends remembered him for this great quality (Unfeigned Faith). Any time people Talk about Unfeigned Faith, a name resurrects with that virtue ; and that name  is Brother Timothy.

I have made up my mind that my generation will remember me for one thing. My generation will remember me as one that held unto the horn of the Altar, they will remember me for my tenacity in the place of Prayers, they will remember me for my dogged and ferocious giving, I have made up my mind that my generation will remember me for good. WHAT ABOUT YOU?

 Always Remember, one day you will be no more, and you will definitely be remembered for something. The choice is yours. Would you want to be remembered for Good or For Evil? The Choice is Yours.
